**The role**

We are seeking an experienced Visual Arts Teacher to deliver effective teaching, learning and caring programs across Years K - 6.

This is a Fixed Term contract, Part time (0.4 load), commencing 24 April until 14 December 2023. For more information on the role, please see the position description below.

**The successful applicant must**:

- Be a qualified teacher and be able to demonstrate a suitable tertiary qualification in teaching and their methods
- Be able to teach Visual Arts in Years K-6
- Collaborate with staff to plan and deliver integrated art experiences related to units of inquiry that develop conceptual and perceptual understanding and skills
- Be willing to be involved in all aspects of the School’s program
- Possess strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and interact with both adults and students
- Have high level communication skills
- Be able to work independently but also as part of a dynamic, creative and collaborative team
- Have an understanding of the Reggio Emilia Educational Project. This is not essential, but will be highly regarded
- Hold a current registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT)
- Hold an Anaphylaxis Certificate, or be willing to obtain this prior to commencement
- Have a current National Police Check or be willing to obtain one prior to commencement
