Hospital in the Home (HITH) is the provision of acute care to public hospital patients in the comfort of the person's own home or other suitable environment. The service is based across four (4) acute sites and flexibility may be required to meet the needs of the service.

About The Role
- Monash Medical Centre, Clayton

The Administrative Assistant is a key role within the Unit providing a customer focused service to patients, their families and visitors. Working in a busy team based environment, the Administrative Assistant provides efficient and effective clerical support to the clinical staff. The Administrative Assistant contributes to optimum patient care and actively contributes to the functioning of the Unit. This is an ongoing part time role and flexibility maybe required to meet the needs of the service.

You have been developing your Administration skills or you are an accomplished Administration Assistant ready to take this next step in your Career. You lead by example, thrive working in a dynamic, fast paced environment and are truly passionate about delivering a high standard of care to all patients. You are an advocate of Monash Health’s Strategic Guiding Principles.

You Are Responsible to provide:

- The provision of efficient and effective clerical support to clinical staff, patients and visitors.
- Ensure appropriate standard of presentation and maintenance of reception area.
- Maintaining the Monash Health visions and values.
- Co-ordination in relation to administrative support, inclusive of admissions, discharges and appointment planning.

What You Need:

- Previous experience in a similar role
- Certificate in Health administration is desired
- Familiarity in Medical terminology
- Australian working rights
