**About the Role**

An opportunity exists for a motivated Tractor Operator to join our Vegetation Team. To operate tractors and use associated implements for the maintenance of Council owned rural roadside verges, parks, reserves and other council owned assets, to provide quality service to the Hills Shire Community.

**What you will be doing**:

- Conduct a daily maintenance check of plant and equipment and report issues.
- Deliver and collect materials/clients or employees.
- Drive a tractor with Slashing and Flail mower implements.
- Operate plant and equipment Massey Ferguson or equivalent.
- Operating PTO driven implements with 3-point linkage.
- Assist with maintenance of standard operating procedures and processes.
- Follow up on maintenance issues.
- Recommend system improvements and enhancements.
- Conduct maintenance works on infrastructure.
- Respond to reactive maintenance requests.
- Undertake maintenance works.
- Act as a first aid officer as and when required.

**About you**:
To be successful in this role you will have:

- First Aid & CPR certificate (Desirable)
- Maintain Chainsaws & Trim and Cut Felled Trees licence (or willing to obtain)
- Chemical Safety Accreditation AQF3 (or willing to obtain)
- NSW Class C Drivers Licence (Minimum) or Class MR (Desirable)
- Traffic Controller & Implement Traffic Control Plans licence (or willing to obtain)
- White Card - General Construction Induction

**Position details**:
Permanent full-time role on a nine-day fortnight, W0306 Salary: Up to $68K + Superannuation
