Our State Government Client located in Berrinba is seeking a talented and dedicated Administration Team Leader to lead their team through an exciting period of growth and transformation.
Contract is running through to June 2024 with potential for this to be ongoing Full-Time Hours and Immediate Start available allowing you to jump right into this exciting opportunity and make an immediate impact
As the Admin Team Leader, you will play a pivotal role in our organisation's success. Your team assists with operational services within the Fire ant program, which assist with the creation and orchestration of surveillance and treatment jobs for the field teams. This involves meticulously inputting and organising data provided by the field teams. Your leadership ensures that the data is accurate, up-to-date, and readily accessible for informed decision-making to ensure that all processes run smoothly.
Your responsibilities will include:

- Team Leadership: Supervise and lead a team of administrative professionals, including allocating workloads, conducting staff performance evaluations, and facilitating team planning and reviews.
- Data Management: Develop and generate reports from relevant systems, collate, summarise, and interpret data to support informed management decision-making.
- Process Improvement: Create and refine processes and procedures to ensure routine work is executed appropriately, consistently, transparently, and efficiently.
- Adherence to Procedures: Strictly adhere to operating procedures applicable to your work area or business function, and provide guidance to staff on complex or unfamiliar procedures and policies.
- Continuous Improvement: Contribute to the ongoing improvement of work area procedures, driving efficiency and effectiveness.
- Workload Management: Monitor, assess, and report on the performance and distribution of workload across responsive operational teams to ensure optimal productivity.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure the accuracy and accountability standards are maintained by quality assuring the work of other staff, especially data entry.
- Decision Making: Exercise discretion when escalating major issues to management, making decisions within established parameters, or flagging issues for management attention.
- User Acceptance Testing: Undertake higher-level user acceptance testing for new systems, providing valuable feedback and supporting other staff in doing the same.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Uphold the good reputation of DAF through interactions with the public, internal and external stakeholders, and effective service delivery.

Key Selection Criteria:

- Experience managing/leading a team in an administrative environment.
- Experience with field teams/operational services would be highly regarded.
- The ability to supervise AO3 level Government employees effectively.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to deal with a range of stakeholders.
