Hays is proud to partner with the New South Wales Electoral Commission (NSWEC) in preparation for the upcoming NSW State Election.

Play a key role within the community and help to facilitate the democratic process which will determine NSW’s future government. This is a unique opportunity to learn new skills, work as part of a team and deliver meaningful work that will shape Australia’s future.

We are looking for several passionate individuals to lead the Logistics Team at the Sydney International Convention Centre.

**Your new role**
As the Logistics Supervisor you will be responsible for:

- Receipt and despatch ballot papers by the logistics team as an afternoon supervisor
- Assist with the initial setup (chairs, tables, etc) and the training Pick-packers before the election as a morning supervisor
- Supervising a small team of Pick-packers
- Management of reconciling receipt and despatch and courier manifest
- Receiving and sorting ULDs and pallets, and scanning with a mobile device for the tracking of ballot paper cartons.

- Strong relevant leadership skills in a similar industry
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines in a team environment,
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders, and
- A positive and motivated working attitude.

**Eligibility Requirements**

Due to the nature of the roles on offer, applicants must meet the following pre-selection requirements:

- Have current full working rights in Australia
- Be over 18 years of age
- Double-vaccinated against Covid-19
- Be able to sign a Political Neutrality Statement
- Appropriate PPE
- Be physically fit and able to perform manual tasks including lifting up to 25kg
- Hold a forklift licence with previous experience
- Be able to provide contact details of two referees, including a current supervisor.

Shifts will commence from the 14th of March through to the 30th of April. Please note, applicants that can commit to full-time availability during this period would be viewed favourably.
