Health Information Services (HIS) at the Monash Children’s Hospital is looking for an enthusiastic, dedicated and experienced Administration office to join our fantastic team at **Monash Children’s** **Hospital** Admissions department.

**About the HIS Team and the Role**

In this Admissions/Customer Service administrative role your primary responsibilities will include:

- Provide customers exceptional customer service both face-to-face and over the phone;
- Complete and ensure accurate data entry when admitting and updating patient details on the Patient administrative system (iPM), and other data entry and administrative duties as required (as outlined on the attached PD)

**Operating Hours**

The Monash Children Hospital - HIS Customer Service and Admissions Department is located at the Lagoon Ward reception (open 5 days per week). Shifts start and finish times may vary between 6.30am and finish at 9pm with the potential of operating hours to be changed and extended as the service continues to grow.

Staff may also be required to travel to other Monash Health sites.

**About You**

We are seeking people to join our patient-focused team who possess the following:

- Administrative experience in a Health related field will be looked upon favourably as well as the completion of a medical terminology course.
- Experienced using the Patient Administration system iPM or similar
- Have a passion and are able to learn new systems and processes quickly
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
- Demonstrate interpersonal understanding by demonstrating empathy and sensitivity to feelings of others.
- Be self-motivated and committed to self-improvement.
- A positive approach to a frequently changing environment.
- Flexibility in availability, rostering and working hours is essential.
- Demonstrated ability to complete tasks in timely manner
- Is a team player
- Searching for long term afternoon shift part time employment
- Have a current drivers licence
