***Wenona is seeking a teacher of Engineering Studies to inspire young women through dynamic classroom practice, professional knowledge, and a commitment to high performance. Experience in teaching Stage 6 Engineering Studies is essential, along with an ability to teach (DT) Applied STEM. Skills in working with Digital Technologies, Robotics and resistant materials is desirable. This includes observed practice of our teaching by our colleagues and 360-degree feedback for all teachers.Wenona supports both academic and support staff to develop their expertise through initiatives such as Wenona Teaching Fellowships, Seeding Grants and ongoing outstanding professional learning that develops and supports career development into the future.

This is a permanent full-time position commencing Term 2, 2023.

**Key priorities**
- An ability to teach Stage 6 Engineering Studies and Stage 5 Applied STEM
- Experience in teaching Mathematics and/or TAS would be highly advantageous
- Ability to teach and aspire to the standards articulated in the Wenona Effective Teaching Cycle
- Understanding of contemporary teaching and learning pedagogies
- A commitment to pastoral care and meeting the social and emotional wellbeing needs of students
- An ability to challenge our students to work creatively, develop authentic and engaging projects and encourage creativity and innovation

- An understanding of and commitment to the educational needs of young women

**Education and Experience**
- Qualifications and experience teaching Stage 6 Engineering Studies, TAS and or Mathematics 7-12
- Demonstrated experience in working with resistant materials
- Experience using workshop tools, 3D printers, laser cutters and emerging technologies
- An ability to use computing code to work in the STEM area and / or the willingness to develop these skills into the future
- Strong knowledge of NESA curriculum, HSC assessment practices and marking processes, including developments with Australian Curriculum implementation in NSW

- Ability to be solutions focused and data-driven in all decision making
- Desire to use flexibility and creativity in day-to-day activities

**Other duties**

In addition to your teaching duties, you will be required to participate in other areas of the School including playground duties, Pastoral Care, co-curricular and extra-curricular activities and school camps. Some of the duties will need to be performed at times outside the normal classroom teaching hours including weekends. These duties will be allocated on appropriate pro-rata basis.
