The role will also be guided by the Centre’s Senior Advisor - Engagement and Impact, based at Monash University.

Working under guidance from the Deputy Director (Partnerships) and the Senior Adviser - Engagement and Impact, you will assume responsibility for the Centre’s knowledge brokerage and partner integration functions and steer the implementation of its science translation and outreach strategy. You will actively engage with key partners in industry and government to understand their requirements for weather and climate data, tools and training that facilitate policy development and business decision making. You will further foster those relationships to enable the Centre to understand and deliver targeted research. You will also engage with the Centre’s researchers to gain a thorough working understanding of the core research being undertaken by the centre, identify linkages and potential pathways to impact, and provide guidance and training to centre researchers who are inexperienced in collaborating outside of academia. The role is also responsible for the compilation and production of regular science briefings for policy makers that are accessible to a non-scientific audience while maintaining rigour and accuracy.
