Purpose of Role:
The purpose of the role is to provide Quality assurance and control support within the Foundry in line with both internal and external Quality Management Systems.

The role will also work collaboratively with the wider Foundry team to strive towards best practice.

Key Responsibilities:
- Continuous Improvement and Foundry Culture.- Foster a culture of continuous improvement by engaging with Foundry Managers and shop floor staff to implement effective improvement actions.- Liaise with Foundry Managers to raise awareness of major contributors to waste and ensure corrective actions are prioritised.- Drive the internal audit program.- Ensure all Customers Complaints assigned to Foundry are investigated and resolved.- Ensure all CARs assigned to Foundry are diligently investigated.- Actions are assigned to stakeholders and followed up as appropriate in order to generate responses to customers in acceptable time frames.- Participate in regular Quality Team reviews updating all stakeholders of the status of investigations in progress.- Maintain COPQ database and quality alert system, share reporting with shop managers daily.- Reject database updated.- Issuing of Quality alerts.- Foundry daily quality summary shared.- Represent the Foundry in internal and external quality audits.- Provide auditors supporting information.- Supporting stakeholders with Quality initiatives regarding audits.

Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications:
- Tertiary qualification in Materials Science, metallurgy or a related field.- 5+ years of experience in Quality Management.- 5+ years Foundry experience.- Knowledge and experience in heat treatment, melting and pouring, sand systems, laboratory testing, OTSR and NDT- Strong Microsoft Office Suite skills required.
