**About the role**
The Associate Director role is a pivotal position within the Office of the 24-Hour Economy Commissioner, responsible for amplifying First Nations voices, storytelling, and culture within the 24-hour economy of NSW. A key focus of this role is to engage with First Nations people and businesses, ensuring their meaningful participation in the development of vibrant, diverse, and inclusive 24-hour economy precincts. The Associate Director will lead the strategic delivery of the 24-Hour Economy Implementation Plan, managing a portfolio of complex projects and fostering productive relationships with government, industry, and community stakeholders to drive economic growth and inclusivity across NSW.
**About You**
You are a strategic leader with a deep understanding of the 24-hour economy landscape and its evolving trends. You have extensive experience working with First Nations communities, demonstrating a strong network of trusted relationships with Aboriginal Elders, communities, and organisations. You are skilled in managing complex and sensitive consultations, balancing diverse stakeholder expectations, and navigating tight deadlines while delivering multiple project objectives efficiently. You are resourceful, adaptive, and committed to driving positive outcomes for both First Nations people and the broader community.
This is an Identified role under Section 14d of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1977 and as such Aboriginality is an essential requirement of the role. Aboriginal identified positions are developed where Aboriginal identity, cultural knowledge or connections are a genuine aspect of the role. Positions are specifically noted under the provisions of the NSW Anti-discrimination Act (1977) for Aboriginal people who meet the following criteria:

**Key Requirements**
- Experience in embedding First Nations methodologies for systemic and cultural change.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with experience in providing high-level advice and briefings to the Executive and Board levels.
- Proven ability to manage relationships effectively, influence stakeholders and foster collaboration across internal and external networks.
