About the role

Strait Link is a leading shipping company operating in the logistics industry, specialising in providing efficient and reliable transportation solutions.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

As the IT Manager, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Collaborating with the business to understand and prioritise service requests and requirements, both for regular operations and projects.- Maintaining strong contract and vendor management processes with third party support vendors.- Serving as the liaison between the business and third-party service providers, providing point of escalation when necessary- Familiarising yourself with the scope of work and services provided by vendors.- Ensuring the availability of necessary resources (people, systems and financial) for project delivery.- Managing vendor service levels to ensure consistent delivery according to agreed performance standards.- Working with stakeholders to consider customer impact during project delivery.- Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement to increase operational efficiency.- Engaging with all business units in the shipping division to ensure technology is meeting their requirements.- Developing, implementing, and managing support processes and policies.- Maintaining support documentation as appropriate.-
- Overseeing and measuring KPIs to monitor and challenge vendor performance, identifying areas for improvement.-
About you

To be considered for the IT Manager position, you should possess the following qualifications and skills:
- Broad experience base in managing technology outcomes, contract and vendor management and change programs.- Solid understanding of ITSM & Cyber Security principles and best practices.- Strong technology capability and understanding to oversee and manage activities performed by service providers.-
- Ability to provide day-to-day support and address business challenges.-
- Strong leadership and communication skills to engage with stakeholders across the business.- Proven track record in identifying continuous improvement opportunities and implementing operational efficiencies.- Previous experience in IT service level management and contract management.- Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools.- Familiarity with IT infrastructure, including network management and virtualised computing environments.

Education and Experience- Bachelor’s degree in information technology or a related field (or equivalent work experience).- Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT management roles, with a focus on service delivery and vendor management.
