**About Inject**

Inject is an outsourced HR consulting firm that provides services to small-medium businesses. We are located in Clayton, Melbourne and whilst most clients are within the region, there exist clients who have a national presence as well. We provide a full range of HR services, including strategic HR initiatives that implement proactive changes to a business to improve performance, coaching, management or advice on leading and managing employees and resolving a range of HR issues, such as performance management and misconduct. Finally, we have an outsourced HR administration function to assist businesses with tasks such as HR advice, employment contracts, policies, onboarding and recruitment.

Ideally, this role is worked across 4 days a week and will be offered at 16 hours per week.

**About You**

You are motivated to help smaller businesses navigate their way through some of the more challenging people situations. You have dealt with a range of HR matters and have a robust knowledge of legislation updates. Whilst you’re confident in your capability, you know when to seek external advice to back up your position.

You enjoy being part of a team and building relationships. Equally, you have your own commitments and would love the opportunity for part-time work.

**About the Role**

Reporting to the Managing Director, you will add value to the business and our clients through:

- Providing guidance to managers on a range of employment issues, such as: performance management, misconduct, restructures, redundancies, absence and lateness, employee conflict
- Participate in meetings to take place onsite or via video conference with managers and employees in relation to issues that arise, including termination meetings
- Represent clients at Fair Work in Unfair Dismissal and General Protections cases at the mediation/conciliation stage only, including submitting the written response and attending the mediation meeting
- Lead the implementation of the HR administration and compliance solution, which involves: HR audit, developing templates, policies, contracts, procedures and implementing the HR system
- Researching and preparing communication to clients on HR updates e.g. legislation changes or relevant case findings
- Conducting ad-hoc investigations into matters relating to bullying, harassment and sexual harassment
- Mentoring, coaching and training internal HR staff

**Selection Criteria**
- Strong knowledge of employment legislation, including unfair dismissal and general protections.
- Experience dealing with a range of employee matters, such as: underperformance, misconduct, absence and lateness, redundancies, investigations, bullying, harassment, sexual harassment.
