The Work Health and Safety team will deliver work health and safety compliance, training and enquiry management across Housing Portfolio. Key activities for this team include the development, implementation and updating of WHS policies, procedures and guidelines, Internal staff and external contractor WHS reporting, Person and property alert projects and helping create WHS Newsletters, awareness projects and training.

As a WHS Advisor - Learning and Development, you are required to Provide high quality Work Health and Safety (WH&S) training and support to the Divisions to ensure a whole-of-lifecycle approach to safety, including covering the areas of legal requirements, contractor, supplier and procurement safety requirements and meeting objectives, targets and indicators.

**What you’ll do**

As a WHS Advisor, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and delivering strategic WH&S training programs, aligning them with Department and Corporate objectives.

Your responsibilities will include evaluating and reporting on the effectiveness of these programs, preparing correspondence, briefings, and reports on findings, emerging issues, risks, and solutions. Collaborating closely with managers and staff, you will identify needs, requirements, and capability gaps across the Department, supporting ongoing capability development.

**What we’re looking for**

**Tertiary qualifications in WH&S or related discipline and/or equivalent knowledge, skills and experience with demonstrated commitment.**:
**Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or ability to obtain the certificate.**:
**Current driver license and ability and willingness to travel.**:
**May involve travel both locally and regionally, including overnight travel, as required by the business and/or directed.**:

- **Demonstrated experience in WH&S and an understanding of current legislation, policy and obligations.**:

- **Return to work experience.**:
