Employment Support Partner

In the role of **Employment Support Partner,** you will support participants diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis and other Neurological Conditions (ONC) to achieve their goals in maintaining or obtaining their chosen employment in the open labour market. Working closely with the Employment Support Consultants, this position is also responsible for the provision of high-quality disability employment services to customers in accordance with the Disability Employment Services Deed and Multiple Sclerosis Queensland Policies and Procedures.

This role is a permanent full-time opportunity with flexible work from home options.

**Additionally, you will**:

- Facilitate and/or conduct assessments to establish participant’s status and needs
- Identify any vocational barriers and non-vocational barriers
- Coordinate and provide appropriate assistance to participants and employers
- Work closely with Employment Support Consultants to facilitate services, treatment and sourcing and purchasing of equipment
- Aid participants and employers as required when job seekers are placed in new employment and monitor progress
- Refer customers to other services or external providers as appropriate

**About you**:

- Knowledge of employment barriers that individuals with a disability face when trying to maintain or look for employment
- Proven ability to maintain and coordinate client case load
- Ability to develop and implement innovative participant and outcome focused strategies
- Excellent organisational, planning and time management skills
- Advanced negotiation, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Build and maintain effective relationships with our participants

**A NDWS clearance, Blue Card and completion of NDIS Online Worker Training Module will be required for this role (prior to commencement).**

**The work we do**:
For the past 65 years, MS Queensland has provided care and support to Queenslanders living with MS and other neurological conditions. MS Queensland is the Queensland-focused arm of the larger MS group of organisations.

Through the support of our fundraising activities (such as the MS Brissie to the Bay, MS Moonlight Walk and MS Swimathons across Queensland), we help raise critical funds needed for vital services and_ _support for the 5000+ people living with MS people living with ONC.

As a registered NDIS provider and partner of CoAct we deliver the following services to people living with MS and other neurological conditions:

- Support Coordination, Physiotherapy and Allied Health services are available to everyone across Queensland (through telehealth or face to face)
- Independent Living support and Specialist Disability Accommodation apartments across Southeast Queensland in Toowoomba, Springfield, Gold Coast, Albany Creek, Caboolture and Springfield locations
- Disability Employment Service (DES) specialist provider for MS and other neurological conditions employment assist and work assist services to help people find and keep a job for anyone eligible across Queensland.
