The role Reporting to the Senior Director, Community Service Funding Branch, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the planning, coordination, and implementation of the project, following QPS values and adhering to service quality standards. Your responsibilities include managing project risks, collaborating with key stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation.
Additionally, you will engage in extensive communication and consultation with departmental leads, NGO partners, and quality standards authorities, maintaining transparency throughout the project lifecycle. Your role involves data analysis, research, and the preparation of complex written communications, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, safe community health services by contracted NGOs. You will actively contribute to a workplace culture promoting collaboration, continuous improvement, innovation, and evidence-based decision-making while upholding quality human resource management practices.
The successful personTo thrive in this position, you should exhibit a substantial understanding and practical experience in the strategic and operational aspects of delivering safe and high-quality services in the health and community services sector, both within Queensland and on a national scale. Your qualifications should extend to significant management and organizational expertise, showcasing a track record of successful project delivery aligned with healthcare system reforms or government priorities in the community services sector.
Moreover, your demonstrated knowledge and experience should encompass the commissioning of health and human services, emphasizing contract management and monitoring of external service providers. Your focus should be on providing client-centred services within a complex, safe, and high-quality service delivery environment. Additionally, you should possess highly developed communication skills, both internal and external to the Department, along with strong relationship-building, interpersonal, negotiation, and consultation abilities, especially when dealing with highly sensitive and confidential information.
