The purpose of the position is to maximize the quality of clinical documentation and to promote the importance of quality documentation to quality coding. This will be achieved through high quality education of, effective liaison with, and provision of expert advice to clinical and non-clinical staff at all levels of the organisation. This will lead to more accurate clinical coding and optimal financial allocations in an Activity Based Funding environment.

**About You**
- You have formal qualifications and or extensive experience as a Clinical Coder, and/or Health Information Manager, health practitioner, documentation specialist with demonstrated knowledge across a broad range of specialties.
- You possess demonstrated excellent written and verbal communications skills, including the ability to develop and deliver training material and reports, give presentations, engage clinicians, negotiate change and effectively communicate with a wide range of health professionals within a large multidisciplinary organisation.
- You have a demonstrated ability to analyse, interpret and action complex data and the capacity to identify trends and issues that arise and provide expert advisory services in relation to this.
- You display excellent planning, time management and organisational skills particularly in the area of managing multiple tasks, working within a team and multi-disciplinary issues to meet deadlines. Must also be able to work outside normal working hours when required to meet with clinicians.
