**About the role**:
Reporting to the Breeder Division Manager, the incumbent will be responsible for managing maintenance across multiple sites within Goulburn.

This is a hands-on role where we require the individual to have a high level of commitment to the job with problem solving skills that demonstrate your ability to evaluate information quickly and find solutions to equipment and responding to mechanical breakdowns.

**Responsibilities of this position include -**
- Responding to and managing breakdowns in a timely manner.
- Designing and implementing preventative maintenance programs.
- Development of key performance indicators.
- Manage contract workers as required.
- Providing input into the capex and opex program, including the development of an annual budget.
- Implementing an annual maintenance and preventative works program.
- Assisting with the planning of major capital projects and overseeing their implementation.
- Prioritising unplanned works to ensure key infrastructure is repaired/restored in a timely manner.
- Liaising with key staff to ensure works remain on budget, stock levels are maintained at an adequate level and are documented appropriately.
- Plan, coordinate and execute preventative and reactive maintenance.
- Diagnosis and repair of machinery in a timely manner
- Measure, monitor, track and report Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to ensure attainment of maintenance objectives. Use KPI’s to set and achieve Improvement objectives.
- Assist with the installation and relocation of associated equipment.
- To comply with all relevant legislation.
- Perform preventative maintenance tasks on a regular basis.
- Strong technical and problem-solving skills in mechanical design, root cause failure analysist and maintenance.

**To be successful for this role you will possess the following skills and attributes**:

- Mechanical Engineering Degree and/or Diploma is essential.
- Relevant trade qualifications
- Proven experience as a Maintenance Manager within Farming environment.
- Good computer literacy with well developed written and verbal communication skills
- Good analytical skills, attention to detail and decision-making ability
- Experience with trouble shooting and problem solving
- A restricted electrical license would be highly regarded, though not essential.
- You must be self-motivated, inquisitive and proactive in your work.
- Excellent communication skills
- The flexibility in regard to working hours which may include working overtime and weekends
- High level of numeracy and literacy skills

**Salary**: $80,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
