It takes a great deal of planning to keep a military organisation as dynamic and complex as the Air Force operating effectively. But in this rewarding role as a Human Resources Advisor, you'll join a team that helps ensure Air Force operations and exercises are fully resourced.

**Your role**

Wherever the Air Force deploys, you will be one of the first on the ground. Your role is to maintain the Air Force’s most valued assets - its people, from both a welfare and capability perspective.

It’s a human resources role where no two days will be the same as you handle personnel management, plan human resources, manage communications between departments and the Army and Navy, and get involved with air and ground operations.

The areas you could work in include:

- Personnel Management - maintaining personnel capability plus human resource management at an individual level.
- Personnel Operations - managing personnel in an ‘operational capability’ in support of ADF operations and exercises.
- Operations Resource Management - involvement in business functions such as financial management and budgeting, and knowledge management tasks such as record keeping and the management of internal information flow.
- Organisational Communication - undertaking a range of internal communication tasks including drafting and disseminating command messages, developing website content, and using social media platforms.
- Air and Ground Operations - liaising directly with Air Force Squadron executives, flying crews, maintenance staff and base services helping coordinate your unit’s operations.

**Salary**

You'll earn a good salary from day one, with a starting salary of $52,815 per annum plus 16.4% superannuation.

On completion of your initial military training and initial employment training, you could earn $71,750 per annum plus 16.4% superannuation, as well as a variety of allowances and extra pay for relevant qualifications.

**Location**

Upon completion of your training in Wagga Wagga, NSW, you may be posted to one of the major Air Force bases around Australia such as RAAF Base Amberley, RAAF Base Darwin or RAAF Base Tindal.
