**About the Role**

We are seeking an experienced and passionate **Communications Specialist** to join our team. The person is responsible for implementing impactful communicaions strategies for MTC.

Reporting to the Communications Manager, you will:

- Create and implement internal communications strategies.
- Execute on communications strategies targeting MTC’s key external audiences.
- Ensure all communications messaging is high quality, accurate, appropriate and aligned with MTC’s strategy.
- Be a champion and joint owner of the communication elements of MTC’s intranet platform.
- Build and manage a rich content/editorial calendar for internal communications purposes.
- Produce compelling content and copy for external use as required.
- Proactively suggest and develop new and relevant communication channels.

**About You**

To be successful in this role you must have**:

- Tertiary qualifications in Marketing, Communications or Business or experience deemed equivalent.
- Experience in implementing communications strategies.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication with strong attention to detail.
- Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships with a broad base of key stakeholders.
- An ability to research, write, edit and produce communications for a variety of channels and audiences.
- Knowledge of and competence on Canva and Sharepoint.
- High level organisation, time management, planning skills and ability to meet set deadlines.
- Strong problem-solving skills, objectivity, judgement and, of course, curiosity.
