The Victoria Health Building Authority is looking for a Project Management Advisor to join their team based in Melbourne CBD
The Project Management Advisor - Risk will support a range of capital projects with the main concentration on the risk management aspect, as well as reporting, to ensure that systems and processes are developed for continuously improving project delivery and outcomes. The position will work collaboratively across a number of project control and delivery functions. The role will undertake the co-ordination of implementation of the Risk Management Framework, quality assurance and reporting to senior leadership team on both project as well as portfolio-level risk.
The position engages in effective stakeholder management, strategic thinking, research and analysis, project and contract management, and associated implementation activities.

**Accountabilities**:
As a Project Management Adviser - Risk, your key responsibilities include, but not limited to:

- Holding workshops with project delivery teams to identify potential risks and issues that could impact the success of a project. This would involve conducting risk assessments and working with project teams to ensure that risks are appropriately identified and documented.
- Coordinate with the cost and schedule advisors, as well as the project delivery teams, to quantify the identified risks and assess their impact on cost and timing.
- Assisting project teams for analysing identified risks to determine their potential impact on the project. This would involve assessing the likelihood of occurrence and the severity of the impact of each risk.
- Working with project teams to develop and document risk mitigation strategies. This would involve identifying appropriate risk response strategies in line with the available frameworks (ongoing risk management training and development provided.)
- Communicating with project stakeholders to prepare regular risk reports and providing updates on the status of risk mitigation efforts.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with key stakeholders to facilitate a partnership approach.
- Identify improvement opportunities and work collaboratively in the development of continuous improvement systems and processes.
- Maintain the risk management framework and provide assurance to the project for implementation and compliance.

**About you**:
**To be successful in this role, you will possess**:

- Project Management experience and risk management and risk reporting fundamentals
- Experience with public infrastructure or engineering and constructions projects
- Strong Planning and Organising skills
- Proven problem-solving ability along with ability to comfortably work through concepts and complexity
- Attention to detail
- Ability to drive and manage changes
- Strong stakeholder management and relationship building skills
- Sense of resillience
- Teamwork ability

Whilst not essential, tertiary qualification in business management, risk management, project management or similar will be highly regarded.

**Are you**:

- Experienced with public infrastructure or engineering and construction projects, ready to develop your skills in a PMO?

- A person with capital project management, risk management and reporting experience and experience?
- Adaptable to manage a varied workload with competing priorities and have strong attention to detail to ensure quality and timely outputs?
