**About the role**:
Your typical day in this role would consist of providing assessments and implementing appropriate care and management plans for clients to ensure they reach their optimal outcomes. Working in consultation with other members of our multidisciplinary team, you will reach individual case decisions based on best practice. You will be required to prioritise tasks as competing demands arise throughout the day and/or week.

This position sits within the Stimulant Treatment Program (STP), located at James Fletcher Hospital, Newcastle. You will be supported by your Line Manager, fellow team professionals, and the Allied Health Lead. There will also be opportunities to engage in professional development and other training with our online learning programs.

We are looking for someone who is professional and ethical, with effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills. You will be capable of working in an environment that can be complex and everchanging due to clients’ needs and challenges. The ability to work in a team environment is also a must.

**Requirements**:

- Must hold a degree in Social Work, Psychology, Nursing, Counselling or other qualification deemed equivalent by the employer, which provides eligibility or membership of the relevant professional association and full registration through the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), where applicable.
- Eligible to drive in NSW and the ability and willingness to travel for work purposes which may involve driving long distances.

- To be eligible for employment in this position you must be an Australian Citizen, or permanent resident of Australia, or a New Zealand citizen with a current New Zealand Passport, or hold an appropriate visa that allows you to live and work in Australia. Employment of a temporary visa holder will only be offered in line with the conditions and expiry date of your visa.
