**Your new role**

**What you'll need to succeed**
- Undertake peer reviews of CLCs produced by building surveyor technicians and provide appropriate feedback to assist with staff development
- Respond to queries from clients, designers, engineers, builders, Council, and CBOS staff
- Produce high-level written responses on technical issues when required
- Provide in-house training (scheduled and ad hoc) for other technical staff, particularly in relation to the National Construction Code and _Tasmanian Building Act 2016_ and associated Director’s Determinations
- Support technical staff who are undertaking the Advanced Diploma of Building Surveying by providing advice to assist with the successful completion of required tasks and assessments
- Provide high-level input into business process discussions
- Assist the Head of Inspections in relation to distribution and conduct of inspections, and timely finalisation and closure of projects
- Review Inspection Directions, Building Orders and Building Notices and other required forms prior to release
- Liaise with the Director and other Managers to assist with continuous improvement
- Complete CLC assessments when available
- Undertake inspections as required

**Essential qualifications**

Recognition by CBOS as a Building Surveyor (Limited) for Class 1 and 10 buildings
