**About the role**:
My client is a leading and innovative cookware manufacturer and Retailer committed to delivering high-quality kitchen solutions. With a strong presence in both wholesale and retail markets, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Product Development Manager to join our team in Melbourne.

**Duties**:
As a Product Development Manager for Cookware, you will play a pivotal role in driving the growth of our product portfolio. You will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end product development process, from ideation to market launch, ensuring that our cookware offerings meet and exceed customer expectations.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Product Ideation and Innovation**:

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify market trends, consumer needs, and competitor insights to drive product innovation.
- Lead creative sessions to contribute ideas for new cookware concepts and features.
- **Project Management**:

- Develop and execute project plans, ensuring timely delivery of product development milestones.
- Work closely with the Category Buyer and Merchandise Planner to monitor success and how to improve the Category.
- **Quality Assurance**:

- Establish and maintain rigorous quality standards for all cookware products.
- Conduct regular product testing and evaluation to ensure compliance with safety and performance requirements.
- **Supplier Relationship Management**:

- Collaborate with suppliers to implement cost-effective solutions without compromising quality.
- **Market Research and Analysis**:

- Conduct market research to identify opportunities for product enhancement or expansion.
- Analyze sales data and customer feedback to make data-driven decisions for product improvements.

**Skills & Expertise**:

- Proven experience in product development, with a track record of successful product launches.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of quality control processes and materials related to cookware production.
- Understanding of the wholesale and retail landscape in Australia.
