**How will I help?**

As the Head of Human Resources, Westpac Institutional Bank (WIB), you will build strong relationships to partner with business heads to build and shape aligned people strategies. Reporting to the General Manager, HR WIB & Enterprise Functions, you will be focussed on developing talent and workforce design to meet the business needs now, and in the future, and lead fundamental shifts in culture and employee engagement. Your primary stakeholders will be the Managing Directors for Financial Markets, Corporate & Institutional Banking (CIB), Global Transaction Services (GTS) and WIB COO and their leadership teams with circa 1700 employees.

Success in this role relies on strong partnerships with the WIB and Enterprise Functions HR team, HR Shared Services and CoE partners to ensure the right resources and capabilities are employed at the right time to meet business needs and priorities.

In the role of Head of Human Resources, Westpac Institutional Bank (WIB), you will take carriage of developing and executing the people strategy and priorities to support the overall strategy for WIB in line with the Group strategy. You’ll advocate for the cultural and behavioural change required in the business and align with broader HR transformation strategies. In this role you will drive the overall talent agenda for business success, deliver strategic people solutions, grow leaders and meet succession needs. A strong influencer, you will work with Financial Markets, Corporate & Institutional Banking (CIB), Global Transaction Services (GTS) and WIB COO on their Line of Business (LOB) people strategies and partner with the HR Business Partnering team to deliver both strategic and operational HR initiatives.

**What do I need?**

You hold 15 years’ HR Business Partnering experience with a significant portion spent in divisional HR leadership within an Agile/CoE structure. Critical to success in the role, you have significant experience in Financial Services, specifically within corporate and institutional banking, investment banking or financial markets. With experience in strategic partnering with executive business and functional leaders at the most senior levels of an organization (GM/MD/C-Suite/Group Executive levels) you have a strong commercial mind and a well-developed strategic lens. You have the ability to work and thrive within an Agile/CoE-led HR and business structure, including strong product-driven environments. An exceptional communicator and a strong relationship builder, you are comfortable to influence and debate with colleagues, peers and senior stakeholders.
