Optical Technician

We are seeking an experienced Optical Technician to form part of the Cut Edge and Fit operation at our Caloundra Laboratory branch to provide high quality finished eyewear to ZEISS customers.- Responsible for cutting and fitting of Ophthalmic lenses to all styles of spectacle frames- Making precision optical parts- Monitor equipment and processes completing agreed maintenance programs as requested- Responsible for carrying out equipment calibrations in accordance with quality requirements- Work in partnership with Lab Manager and team members to meet company targets and address any customer issue- Contribute to the training and development of staff

Job Requirements- A qualified Optical Mechanic / Technician or Optical Dispenser is highly regarded- Demonstrated experience within an Optical Laboratory Fitting environment including rimless fitting and tinting- Responsible for providing a consistent quality product which can be delivered to the customer within time frames, meeting all quality standards- Process driven individual who is highly organized, has the ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritise, work under pressure and be flexible- High attention to detail- Able to communicate across various teams within the organization
