**Your new company**

Our client is one of the largest public sector authorities which provides community services and facilities for a growing population. They are looking for an environmental health officer that can deliver regulatory services including licensing, inspections, and complaint investigation.

**Your new role**

As the environmental health officer, you will manage an allocated licensing, inspection and investigation case load. You will ensure all activities are delivered in line with relevant policy, legislation and to agreed time, cost and quality.

Additional responsibilities:

- Investigate/respond to complaints/customer requests/incidents
- Contribute to the planning and delivery of change or continuous improvement projects that impact on team service (such as policy, process, or legislative changes).

**What you'll need to succeed**

You have relevant degree qualification in the field of environmental health that is recognised for eligibility for membership of Environmental Health Australia. Additionally, you have the ability to research, analyse or investigate issues and write concise professional reports and correspondence.

Additional qualifications:

- Demonstrated high level verbal and written communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to negotiate positive outcomes with stakeholders under mínimal direction
- Proven ability to exercise judgement and contribute critical knowledge and skills where procedures are not clearly defined
- Demonstrated ability to assess safety and risks associated with new Environmental Health related licence practices, equipment, techniques and services, and provide expert advice on these issues
- Valid “C” Class drivers’ licence
- Ability to participate in after-hours duties and get the required vaccines
