**WHAT WE DO**:
The STS Taskforce is working with business and across all levels of government to deliver the most significant whole-of-government cross-border trade reforms in more than a decade. This includes working to make trade rules simpler and easier for businesses to comply with, digitising cross-border trade processes to be more efficient, enabled by modern ICT systems with improved data sharing, while strengthening border and biosecurity controls. The STS Taskforce supports the Government’s broader trade and digital agendas.

**THE OPPORTUNITY**:
Work at the STS Taskforce is fast-paced and presents an exciting opportunity to collaborate, design and deliver whole-of-government outcomes. The role provides the opportunity to work across government bringing together a broad suite of skills, including strategic policy, regulatory reform, data and digital strategy, human-centred design, business engagement, program management, and corporate support.

The Assistant Director, Communications and Media roles report directly to the Director of Communications and Media. These roles will develop and implement the communication and media strategies including website, social media, digital campaigns, and strategies to showcase the benefits being delivered to support and enable strategic outcomes. These roles require extensive communications experience, with focuses on digital requiring demonstrated experience in developing and managing digital content, website content and social media platforms; and strong writing skills focusing on writing Taskforce artifacts (including case studies), speeches, media releases, talking points, and website content.

**Duties include**:

- Leading the development and implementation of the STS Taskforce content strategy, including managing all aspects of a website redesign.
- Monitoring analytics to identify trends and opportunities to inform communications and media directorates activities and support continuous improvement.
- Developing and managing the STS Taskforce’s brand.
- Contributing to the development and implementation of the STS Taskforce’s communications strategy.
- Serving as the primary editor for all digital channels including website and social media.
- Developing, editing, and publishing compelling digital content in line with best practice, across a range of platforms including website, social media and print including: reports, infographics, web and social media content.
- Identify and record stories and anecdotes as well as data to support strong thought leadership and media engagement to promote the benefits of the STS reform agenda.
- Managing day to day operations and serve as the point of contact for all content related enquiries.
- Other ad hoc requests such as input into speeches, presentations and annual reports for our agency trade partners.
