About the project

Iluka’s Eneabba Rare Earth Refinery (ERER) Project, located at Eneabba in Western Australia. We are delivering Australia’s first fully integrated rare earths refinery, achieving an independent supply of rare earth oxides essential to global electrification and decarbonisation. Our state-of-the-art refinery will feature a total rare earth oxide capacity of 23,000 tonnes p.a, flexibility to process a range of feedstocks and recycling of water and reagents.

About the role

We are looking for a Lead Planner to join our projects team. This is a fixed term - 2 Years position based at our Perth Projects office. Regular site travel will be required.

You will lead the planning and scheduling function for the ERER Project that includes development and management of the Overall Schedule, including schedule assessment, progress analysis, performance to all key milestones, schedule trend and analysis, schedule forecasting, forensic and scenario planning and reporting.

You will be responsible for establishing and maintaining planning baselines and critical paths. Establishing and maintaining detailed schedules for the owners team. Monitor progress against schedule and report on any realised or potential schedule slippage. Create and provide amended schedules and critical paths, or planning modelling, as required by the project.

Key elements of the role include:
- Assist the Project Services Manager in the development and review of the project controls management strategy and plan- Assist with the project deliverables ensuring alignment with Iluka’s Integrated Project Delivery (IPD) framework requirements and individual project execution plans and contract and procurement plans- Create and manage the project’s baseline schedule to achieve approved milestone targets- Configure the baseline schedule to align with budgeting and work package plan in order to enable Earned Value (EV) measuring across contract packages- Liaise with and integrate EPCM, vendor and contractor schedules into the project master schedule- Assist with multi-disciplinary planning including procurement, construction, commissioning and operations readiness strategies and plans- Provide proactive and clear direction to the project management team on issues with project schedules to ensure the team achieve agreed milestone targets- Review and approve any requested changes to schedules or critical path- Assist the project cost controller with the timely exchange of progress data between Primavera, PRISM and SAP in order to ensure progress reporting.

About you

To be successful for this role, you will have:
- Engineering qualifications preferred or related project management field experience in a project planning execution covering engineering, contracts and procurement, construction and commissioning phases- Demonstrated experience as a Lead Planner within a resources environment- Owners experience a plus- Sound understanding of planning and scheduling processes, fundamentals and earned value management- Excellent communications skills, report writing abilities
