This is a fixed-term VPS4 Procurement Officer position within the Government Procurement Group.

This role sits within the Government Procurement group who provide Whole of government procurement solutions to achieve best value for the Victorian Government.

**About the role**

The Procurement Officer facilitates the contract management of the Victorian Government's state security contract providing a seamless delivery of security services to Government. The main responsibilities of the role include:

- Facilitate and manage sourcing activities that utilise existing State Purchase Contracts to support larger procurement projects across the team.
- Undertake selected category and contract management activities including category and contract analysis, the monitoring of supplier performance, engaging with contract business owners and proactively identifying improvement opportunities.
- Contribute to the documentation and development of policies, procedures and process improvements to maximise the efficient and effective delivery of the Procurement and Category Management team deliverables.

You are a collaborative, engaged individual with a background in contract management looking for a position focused on achieving strategic outcomes for Government. This is an opportunity to work within an experienced procurement team and gain exposure to an end-to-end tender processes in a supportive environment.

**To be considered for the role, you must be able to demonstrate**:

- Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills, with an ability to clearly articulate outcomes, listen to customers / clients / stakeholders and address their requirements within agreed time frames.
- Ability to undertake end-to-end sourcing activities including specification and strategy development, tender documentation, evaluation activity, negotiation and contract execution.
- Strong stakeholder relationship skills with an ability to develop collaborative and effective relationships with a broad range of stakeholders.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, and to constructively support the delivery of team and organisation-wide outputs.
