**Position: Part Time, 12 Months Fixed Term**
**Salary: $50,000-65,000 per annum pro rata (based on qualification and experience) **plus super**
**Location: Mary Street Preston**
**The Organisation**
The Victorian Aboriginal Child Care Agency (VACCA) is the largest organization of its kind in Australia. VACCA is an Aboriginal community-controlled organization that supports and advocates for the Aboriginal community.
**About the role**
Reporting to the Executive Manager - State-wide Programs, the Administration Officer will be responsible for providing:
- Administrative support to the Executive Manager and Program Managers for internal and external meetings, and where required in achieving their governance responsibilities
- Project support
This position will be a part of the administration team and broader VACCA Programs team, working across all program areas, and will play a key role supporting the program staff in working with Aboriginal children and families, Government and sector partners to deliver quality services.
**About You**
- Demonstrated understanding of, and commitment to, the values that underpin VACCA’ vision and purpose and the capacity to take a leadership role in championing these internally and externally
- Demonstrated awareness and appreciation of Aboriginal societies and cultures, and commitment to continually build knowledge of such, along with a high level of awareness of the key issues which impact upon Aboriginal communities
- Demonstrated experience in working and engaging with Aboriginal families and children/ Demonstrated experience in child and family sector
- Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills and the demonstrated ability to think and act strategically.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage a number of competing tasks, with mínimal supervision and direction.
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to deal with competing demands, meet timelines and schedule in advance multiple Executive and Program Managers calendars and priorities.
- An understanding of organisational systems and processes, including compliance with internal policies and procedures relating to the role.
- Experience in the management and handling of private and confidential information. This includes disclosing perceived or actual conflicts of interest.
- Ability to undertake planning, coordination and management of complex and high-level tasks.
- Current COVID-19 vaccinations (minimum two doses and booster shot before commencement)
