**About the Role**
The Communication and Engagement Officer supports the work of the Strategic Communication and Engagement (SCE) Branch by assisting the team to deliver services across a variety of projects, such as internal and external communications, community engagement, website updates and social media.

The Communication and Engagement Officer is also responsible for providing timely and accurate information and responses to queries, issues, or correspondence on a range of communication and engagement-related matters and contributing to the effective organisation, operation and delivery of the branch's programs, strategies and objectives.

This includes drafting content, under direction, for a range of channels including social media, website, newsletters, internal communication, publications, and engagement material, compiling team reports, and undertaking management logistics. The Officer will support the work of SCE team members by co-ordinating projects and tasks as directed.

Within this context the position needs to demonstrate a high level of responsiveness, flexibility, resilience, and customer focused service that meets the fluidity and diversity of the audience and constantly changing priorities.

The EPA is South Australia’s independent environment protection regulator. The organisation works to protect, restore and improve the environment through the risk-based regulation of pollution, waste, noise and radiation. The EPA works closely with industry, the community and government to protect the unique natural environment while supporting economic growth and improving wellbeing. The EPA is responsible for the administration of the _Environment Protection Act 1993_ (EP Act) and the _Radiation Protection and Control Act 2021_ (RPC Act) and also exercises responsibilities under other South Australian planning and environmental legislation.

**Desirable Qualifications, Knowledge or Experience**
- Experience in communication, engagement, media, website administration or graphic design.
- Outstanding communication (oral and written) skills.
- Strong organisational skills and detail-oriented.

**Remuneration**
ASO3 ($67,589 - $72,033 per annum) + 11.5% super to your choice of superfund.

**Contract**
Short term contract (until 30 June 2025) and full time (37.5 hours per week).

**Special Conditions**
- This role has been designated as a Position of Trust pursuant to the standards required in the Australian Government Protective Security Policy Framework. A current National Police Clearance is essential.
- The incumbent may be required to work out of hours and as the need arises.
- A current driver’s licence is essential.
