**About the Role**

The Technology Finance Lead is responsible for the provision of operational and organisational financial performance and support. This includes budgetary and financial control, project support, performance management and driving savings and optimisation of activities and costs across Enterprise Technology and the wider ICT DTP landscape. The role supports the achievement of Enterprise Technology business outcomes through the implementation and alignment of performance policies and practices to the operational environment.

These services include financial budget and forecast development, actual financial performance monitoring, analysis and reporting, and project/program financial management.

**Position Outcomes / Accountabilities**
- Effectively lead, manage in providing IT budget across various services and ensure finance function are aligned with divisional and overall business objectives. This includes developing, identifying and ownership of the total cost of IT spent across DTP and continuously driving savings and optimisation activities.
- Ensure accurate vendor financial performance and reconciliation. Maintain transparent communication, fostering positive relationships. Contribute to the departments financial integrity and operational efficiency.
- Provide expert advice, guidance and effective internal client liaison regarding IT financial analysis services ensuring the integrity of financial information and compliance with Government and Department financial strategies, policies and procedures that will add value to client decision making and the achievement of business outcomes.
- Work effectively with stakeholders and client areas in relation to strategic and day-to-day IT budget matters and through providing improved timely and accurate financial and budget information whilst increasing their financial management capability.

**Qualifications and Experience**

**Mandatory**
- Qualifications in accounting, finance, or similar discipline.
- At least 4 years’ experience as an accountant in an IT environment

**Desirable**
- Experience in staff supervision/ staff management
- A CA or CPA is preferred.
