**About the Role**

This is a unique career opportunity, particularly for graduates, the recently accredited, and those working towards their Building Surveyor accreditation. Applications from Building Inspectors looking to expand their accreditation are also encouraged.

Reporting to the Manager Building Certification Services you work and learn as part of a diverse team undertaking the function of a building certifier for the Inner West Local Government area.

In this role you will provide outstanding quality service, expert advice and practice in the delivery of building certification services to internal and external customers.

You will participate in all functions of the team, including assisting in inspiring the team, facilitating partnerships across Council, helping to solve problems and resolve issues, and model achievement of goals and commitments.

**Remuneration**

Building Surveyor: $92,973.92 - $113,400.04 + 11 % Superannuation + Car Allowance

Graduate/Part-qualified: $80,935.92 - $91,563.16 + 11 % Superannuation + Car Allowance

**Some of the required skills, experience and qualifications**
- Appropriate tertiary qualifications in a relevant field such as building surveying, fire engineering or equivalent
- Minimum registration as a Building Surveyor - restricted (Class 1a and 10 buildings) - under the _Building and Development Certifiers Regulation 2020 _or working towards this level of registration. (may also consider Building Inspector registration under the _Building and Development Certifiers Regulation 2020_)
- Knowledge of the legislative and regulatory framework for building certification and development assessment in NSW
- Demonstrated commitment to, and ability to deliver excellent customer service; and an ability to demonstrate and commit to a culture of excellent customer service within a team.
- Class C Driver’s Licence
