**Quantity Surveyor - Leichhardt**

The company undertakes limited large jobs at any time concurrently and their focus is on quality not quantity. They now seek a well-qualified and experienced Quantity Surveyor to work with them and their demanding clients to provide exceptional customer service. The role is full time and ongoing.

**Location** - the company is based in Leichhardt NSW and your work will take you across the metro Sydney area.
- Reading and understanding drawings to establish all relevant estimates;
- Contract and Subcontract preparation and Management;
- Progress Claims, Variations and Budget Management;
- Sub-Contractor Procurement, Scheduling, Negotiation and Finalisation;
- Managing client and other stakeholder relations;
- Providing accurate cost analysis and advice to clients;
- Ability to maximize the use of appropriate leading-edge software and technology;
- Reporting to management and as necessary communications with all stakeholders such as clients and their professional advisors.
- The service is based on providing reliability, so a demonstrated understanding of risk mitigation is essential.
- Highly relevant Degree in an appropriate course of study
- Proven knowledge / expertise and accreditation in Quantity Surveying
- Two, preferably more, year’s professional (post training) experience
- Solid experience in the residential construction sector
- Membership or working towards membership in an approved Professional Body (e.g. AIQS, RICS, CIOB);
- Solid knowledge of the home construction industry including development, contracting, and consulting sectors
- Self-motivated with a high degree of integrity, honesty and ethics
- Excellent communication skills - verbal and written
- Ability to work in a team and independently
- Demonstrated skills in client documentation management, planning and organisation
- Knowledge in estimating software and BIM (Building information modelling) desirable
- Unrestricted driving license
