**Your new role**

We have an exciting position available for an experienced and innovative
**Product Owner** to lead our high performing
**Data Platform** team. Working within the
**Digital Platforms **team, a key component of the university’s digital platform, you will drive the quality management and service delivery of data visualisation and data protection and implement process improvements and provide advisory to relevant stakeholders.

**As the Product Owner for Data Platforms, you will be responsible for the**:
**End-to-End Product Lifecycle Management**:

- Take charge of the complete product lifecycle, from identifying customer needs to delivering the product and supporting seamless adoption.

**Workload Prioritisation**:

- Strategically prioritise backlog to maximise the product value, ensuring that delivery increments align with and fulfill customer needs effectively.

**Data Platform Management**:

- Ensure meticulous handling of data sets, maintaining the quality and richness of data platform artefacts.
- Spearhead the management of the data platform roadmap to drive continuous improvement.

**Excellent Team Management**:

- Act as the line manager to a team of Data Engineers and Developers, providing guidance and oversight to enhance their efficiency and effectiveness.
- Lead and manage staff effectively, including directly influencing and conducting hiring processes, training management, and evaluation of performance.

**We are looking for someone with**:

- Possession of an IT or business management-related degree, coupled with extensive expertise as a product owner within the dynamic ICT landscape, or an equivalent blend of relevant experience and educational background.
- Proven track record showcasing commitment to implementing best practices, driving business process improvements, and adhering to client-focused service management and delivery standards for the provision of efficient and effective services.
- Demonstrated success in orchestrating and managing transformative changes to digital products across a large and complex organisation.
- Strong proficiency in team management and leadership, with the ability to ensure the team are meeting the organisation’s vision and goals. This includes defining sprints, clarifying planning details, attending agile meetings, tracking progress, and adeptly communicating updates and potential risks in achieving sprint goals.
