What to Expect
- The Leadership Development Trainer will help drive Tesla’s values and philosophy through training and content development activities that are strategically linked to our mission and vision. You will be responsible for the success of training curricula for leaders throughout Tesla including high potential team members, managers, and directors.
The position works within the APAC Learning and Development Team. You will work in an energetic, fast-paced and strategically agile in environment with multiple stakeholders and cross-functional partners. You must be able to consult with and influence these stakeholders.
You will work with the business to determine training needs and design impactful and scalable leadership development solutions. You will be an excellent facilitator of instructor led programs, and deliver engaging and interactive training.
You will be the primary owner of all phases of the content development cycle for leadership capability, including needs analysis, planning, designing, developing, implementing, evaluating and maintaining programs.
What You’ll Do
- Partner with Subject Matter Experts and Stakeholders to plan and scope requirements for curricula
- Design and develop programs and tools that assess leadership capabilities
- Design and develop programs and tools that enable coaching in a field-based environment
- Design and develop engaging, innovative, and effective instructor-led and eLearning training curricula and courses that:
- communicate complex learning concepts clearly and effectively
- are grammatically correct
- are consistent with approved style guides
- exceed customer expectations
- Capture requirements, build training designs, develop content, deploy content, and evaluate results
- Partner with e-learning developers and multimedia specialists to publish interactive online courses
- Champion the ADDIE process, work effectively in a cross functional environment, and align with standard operating procedures across training team.
- Maintain a valid passport and be able to travel up to 50% to other locations to support training needs
What You’ll Bring
- Bachelors or master's degree in Instructional Design, Adult Learning, or equivalent work experience preferred
- A minimum of two years as an instructional designer producing development programs
- Leadership Development experience and certifications preferred
- Coaching certification or experience in leadership development tools such as DiSC, 360, or Hogan preferred
- Familiarity or certification in change management principals such as ProSci
- High proficiency and expertise in Microsoft Office Suite, advanced experience in PowerPoint and SharePoint required
- Experience with learning and content management systems and learning development platforms including Articulate Storyline and Rise preferred
- Ability to interface and lead stakeholders throughout the instructional design process
- Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal, and presentation skills with ability to successfully deliver and communicate complex technical training concepts
- Proven time management, organisational skills, project planning, assessment, and providing feedback
