**What you’ll do
Primary Connect is one of the leading players in the supply chain industry, and hence this role requires a Risk Specialist who is comfortable with ambiguity and a changing landscape.
- Oversee key areas of business assurance, primarily focusing on food safety and related compliance ensuring all distribution centres, transport centres, and 3PLs adhere to relevant food safety regulations and maintain required certifications.
- Be the Subject Matter Expert (SME) of the Primary Connect standards and proactively manage risk in this space
- Conduct and oversee internal audits, manage relationships with external certifying bodies, and ensure compliance with audit schedules and findings for Primary Connect-operated facilities, audit proposals, relevant audit reports, non-conformances and trends.
- Lead investigations into food safety incidents, conduct risk assessments, and implement mitigation strategies to address potential hazards.
- Provide expert advice on Australian food import and export regulations, ensuring compliance with both domestic and international standards.Partner and collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including regulatory bodies, to ensure alignment on food safety objectives.

**What you’ll bring
- Proven experience in food safety management within distribution centres, transport and/or manufacturing environment
- Strong understanding of Australian food safety regulations and compliance requirements
- Experience in developing HACCP tables, analysis plans and risk assessments
- Knowledge of GFSI standards and / company funded standards being implemented and executed into operations
- Strong communication skills, capable of conveying complex information clearly to diverse audiences.
- Strong organisational skills with a critical-thinking mindset
- Ability to generate information for stakeholders & management via reporting and dashboardsAbility to work with third-party partners to understand business assurance systems, requirements, and compliance
