**The Opportunity**

Reporting to the GM Legal and Insurance, this position will play a pivotal role in the management of Centurions portfolio of insurance claims.

**Tasks & Responsibilities**
- Design and implement a robust internal claims process and supporting documentation
- Generate accurate and detailed reporting
- Co-ordinate annual insurance renewals ensuring accuracy of data provided to the insurers
- Advise to the business in relation contractual insurance requirements
- Manage Centurion’s portfolio of insurance claims from inception through to finalisation
- Liaise with various stakeholders (insurers, brokers, loss adjusters, customers, suppliers) to ensure the claims process is managed effectively
- Negotiate insurance claims and disputes with customers
- Manage cost recovery against external parties where claims thresholds not met
- Generate settlement documents
- Complete weekly and monthly reporting on Insurance matters to Executive and the Board, ensuring that all updates effectively communicate the status and likely outcome of all matters.
- Educate the business on insurance policies and claim processes (internal and external), ensuring Centurion’s adherence to insurance policies and claim process
- Identify trends in claims and recommend practical strategies to mitigate risks and decrease costs
- Manage mentor and guide a team of one to two Claims Officers
- Collaborate and liaise with internal and external stakeholders on-site and/or face to face to address immediate issues and streamline communication
- Support cross-functional team culture to enhance engagement
- Travel interstate and regionally required, as needed

**Skills & Experience**
- 8+ years experience in the general insurance industry
- Experience in handling logistics liability and motor vehicle claims
- Demonstrated experience in end-to-end claims management
- Tertiary qualification in relevant field
