**The Opportunity**
This **Buyer** position, is a senior role for our team, supporting the well-regarded Metronet project, you will be based out of the Bellevue manufacturing site and joining a group of engaged, passionate and supportive individuals leading this project to delivery.
This role primarily manages the vendor performance and acts as the interface between internal teams. Additional accountabilities include having ownership for the purchase to pay process, supplier selection process including the preparation and management of the Request for Quotation (RFQ) and maintaining an effective and complimentary ongoing relationship with suppliers.
Accountable for our Metallics division, you are an experienced professional who can demonstrate operational understanding from a similiar role in the manufacturing space with a similiar product. As a pivotal link between multiple teams and stakeholders, the relationship building, interpersonal, communication and influencing skills of the successful applicant for this role will be your biggest strengths.
We are looking for you to;
- have excellent analytical and excel skills along with an eye for detail
- have proven experience in a similar role or undertaking similar duties (perhaps as procurement specialist, category or product buyer) where you have owned the process end to end
- ideally working or worked in, the manufacturing industry (or similar and can demonstrate the relevancy of the industry)
- experience working with SAP would be advantageous
- have some working knowledge of quality and non-conformity reports
- possess experience raising Purchase Orders and using software to generate tenders and related documentation
- have maintenance, repair and operations (MRO) experience and possess or working towards a CIPS qualification (both are preferable, not mandatory).
