Engineering Manager - Hyperscience Intelligent Document Processing
**How will I help?**
This is a unique and exciting opportunity to evangelise intelligent document processing and intelligent automation within the Westpac Group and enable all business units to achieve their goals using this capability. You'll have real accountability for the end-to-end build of IDP (intelligence document processing) solutions with a focus on ensuring they are effectively delivered and maximizing benefit to the Group.
Key accountabilities of the position are as follows:
- Solve complex technical problems on the Hyperscience platform including Python, Flows SDK, and custom supervision.
- Advise on infrastructure, upgrades, scaling and capacity.
- Lead and coach developers on best practices and grow our capability.
- Adheres to risk framework and associated controls to ensure all risk is identified, managed, escalated, and managed.
- Continuously seeks to identify risks and communicate any risks or issues.
- Participate in solution process design activities, ensuring the appropriate review and approval process is followed.
- Provide specialist advice on general design methods and practices and identify conditions or factors that may affect objectives.
- Be the technical point person for the Business units we serve.
- Develop an in-depth understanding of the document landscape and associated business processes in scope of automation, including technology systems and environments.
- Effectively manage relationships and communications with project stakeholders, including customers and delivery teams.

**What do I need?**
To be set up for success in this role, you will be able to demonstrate:
- 5 years or more experience in building and delivering Hyperscience solutions and other intelligent document processing solutions (e.g. Kofax, Abby)
- 3 years or more experience with building with Python and the Hyperscience SDK/Flows/Custom Supervision
- 5 years or more experience in a large and complex organisation, primarily in the financial services industry
- Certifications in Hyperscience and other automation technologies such as PEGA Robotics, Blue Prism, Microsoft Power Platform
- Experience in agile ways of working
- Tangible experience in liaising with Senior Management
- Track record in delivering outcomes on time, on budget & required quality
- Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
