**About the Opportunity**:
**Equity and Excellence**: realising the potential of every student aims to create more equitable conditions so that all schools enable all students to realise their potential.
A small number Queensland state schools in the most complex communities will receive a specialised system response that supports them to collaborate with partners and across government agencies to deliver locally responsive and integrated strategies to benefit students and their communities.
The department is also trialling dedicated educational precincts that utilise the evidence-base related to collective impact, an innovative and structured cross-agency approach to planning, resourcing and designing school responses to meet the needs of local communities.
Implementing these twoinitiatives will be an exciting journey with lots to learn and many complexities to be managed. We are seeking exceptional and experienced people who believe that school-community partnerships are the key to social change and who can provide and lead the office functions required for success. If this sounds like you, then this may be the opportunity you've been waiting for.
The department recognises that valuing Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures through co-design and building the cultural capability of all staff benefits every student and all our work
**Your Role**:
You will be the backbone of the Central Office team for Integrated Responses and Educational Precincts Initiatives, providing professional, efficient and confidential executive support. Duties of this role include:
- ensuring the efficient operation of day-to-day activities of the Integrated Responses and Educational Precincts Initiatives team, including coordinating the daily flow of business and providing confidential administrative support as required;
- arranging appointments, meetings and conferences; organising travel and accommodation; receiving visitors and welcoming delegations interested in learning about or partnering with the Integrated Responses and Educational Precincts Initiatives team.
- maintaining effective time management practices of the team, including coordinating diary appointments, prioritising correspondence and answering calls;
- assisting with preparation, review and editing of departmental correspondence for consideration by the Managers and the Director of the Integrated Responses and Educational Precincts Initiatives team;
- providing direct support for Managers' and Director's meetings and committees including the preparation of briefing material, minute taking and the distribution and follow up of action items;
- liaising with colleagues within the department, other government agencies and external stakeholders on a variety of issues on behalf of the Integrated Responses and Educational Precincts Initiatives team.
- exercising judgement and delegated authority in areas where precedents or procedures are not clearly defined and providing supervision of staff if required.
The Project Officer reports to the Manager - Integrated Responses, Integrated Responses and Educational Precincts Initiatives.
**Mandatory requirements**:
- This role will be required to work 36.25 hour per week, with all other terms and conditions of employment being in accordance with Administrative officer level 4 of Queensland Public Service Officers and Other Employees Award - State 2015.
