Anglicare’s Homelessness Services strive to empower people to make their own decisions and provide them with the resources they need to take control of their lives and participate in their community. Our team provides accommodation and holistic support via a range of services to help people rebuild their self-worth to make sustainable changes in their lives.

We are currently looking for a full-time Recovery Practitioner - Accommodation to join this dedicated team of professionals who make a significant contribution to our program and the outcomes we achieve in the community. The role requires will work within a roster that can include some evening and weekend work. Shifts are generally 8.30 - 4.30 weekdays however there are some weekday and weekend shifts that are 12 - 8pm. The shifts are on a 6 weekly rotational roster.

**About You**
With a background in using a strengths-based approach to provide client-centred planned support for single adult women and single young pregnant and or parenting women, who are experiencing homelessness or are at risk of homelessness, you will offer:

- High level knowledge of the social housing sector, with experience in sourcing properties and support to sustain tenancies within public and community housing is essential.
- Case management and assessment experience with adult and young women who are at risk of, or experiencing homelessness
- Experience with intervention strategies including family support, homelessness, at risk women & children
- Well-developed written and verbal communication, negotiation and influencing skills
- Collaborative and productive; able to build rapport and develop relationships with a wide range of stakeholders
- Solutions-focused and self-managing with the ability to work as part of team
- Competency with Microsoft Office; capacity to learn and use other software and systems

Your qualifications will include:

- A Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Human Services, Behavioural Sciences or similar field or equivalency of extensive experience
- Current Blue Card (Working with Children)
- Queensland Driver Licence
- Current COVID-19 Vaccination
