**Your new role**
We are seeking a teaching specialist in Human Biology to join our team at the Curtin Medical School and play a key role in enhancing the capacity of the team.

As a Unit Coordinator, you will lead a team of sessional academic staff to deliver large first year units and accurately complete high level teaching administrative duties. You will promote teaching excellence, and work closely with key faculty stakeholders to develop and maintain collegial, collaborative working relationships, particularly with faculty teaching support staff.

To be successful in this role you will have a PhD in Human Biology or a relevant discipline, combined with demonstrable teaching and unit coordination experience in Human Biology or a relevant discipline.

Please note you will require work rights in Australia that match the tenure of this role to be considered, and if you are not already living locally, you must be willing to relocate to Perth, Western Australia for the duration of the position.

- Essential Criteria:_
- A PhD in Human Biology or a relevant discipline.
- Proven high-level teaching skills with a demonstrated reflective approach to teaching in Human Biology and/or related fields.
- A significant contribution to curriculum development and experience as a unit or course coordinator.
- Strong attention to detail in administrative tasks, and an ability to plan for and manage complex deadlines.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to mentor sessional academic staff.
- Demonstrated high-level communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with students and staff with cross-cultural sensitivity.
- An emerging record of research income, and research outputs in high-quality refereed academic journals or platforms consistent with the discipline.
