The Portfolio incorporates the following business units: Enterprise Business Performance Improvement (EBPI), Communications, Enterprise Project Management Office (EPMO), Global Marketing & Student Recruitment, Human Resources, Information and Technology Services (ITS), Office of the Chief Operating Officer, Procurement and Property Services Group (PSG). Information Technology Services (ITS) provides RMIT University with Information and Communication Technology (ICT) systems and services. Our role is to support RMIT’s high quality teaching, learning, research and administrative activities.

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced MuleSoft Team Lead to join our dynamic team. As the MuleSoft Team Lead, you will be responsible for leading a cross-functional integration team in delivering and supporting innovative solutions using MuleSoft and integrating with leading enterprise platforms such as Salesforce, Workday, ServiceNow, PeopleSoft and Canvas. You will work closely with other teams to design, develop, and implement integrations that will improve our business processes and enhance our customer experience.

Primary purpose of this role is to:
- Lead the team to build capability, provide thought leadership and to mentor the team to drive operational excellence within the function whilst enabling the delivery of enhancements and projects.- Build an effective working relationship with key stakeholders in the business functions to ensure that there is transparency on priorities.- Monitor and drive the reduction in dependency of the business on IT for low level basic and repetitive tasks, releasing an increased proportion of the team's capacity for higher value adding activities of enhancements and new capabilities.- Be a key contributor to the evolution and implementation of the IT Strategic Plan including the Service and Demand Management processes.

To be successful in this position, you’ll have as a minimum:
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills and an understanding of abstract concepts, specifically an understanding of the purpose and benefits of modelling.- Demonstrated experience and technical expertise in a similar role, delivering strategically aligned technology solutions to business priorities.- People management experience, ability to manage various personalities, develops and motivates team members, ensure discipline and focus on delivery and outcomes.- Demonstrated experience with analysing, solving and documenting complex problems, to consider various options and to distil and elevate optimal recommendations in solutions that can be presented to a diverse range of stakeholders within the organisation.- A track record of working with stakeholders to ensure that there is alignment on priorities and inclusion in forward planning as per the standard operating model.- Demonstrated ability to identify and engage effectively with the end customer, establish collaborative trusted working relationships required to deliver technology solutions to designed enhance business outcomes and the reputation of ITS and the University.- Understand, maintain and assist in the development of vendor agreements and manage Vendors /SaaS providers to contractual obligations.- Sound understanding and experience in managing, supporting and enhancing Integration middleware platforms, including the MuleSoft Anypoint platform. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, skilled at preparing and giving presentations.- Demonstrated ability to provide thought leadership and technical leadership. Demonstrated ability to work effectively under pressure and prioritise activities.
