**MANAGING CONSULTANT- Compliance, Strategu and Transactions**

We are excited to announce an opportunity for a senior position in our dedicated team, Compliance Strategy and Transactions (CST). As a Managing Consultant, you will work on projects, oversee project staff, be responsible for the team delivering high quality work products on schedule and within budget. You will also support business critical proposal and business development efforts and staff development.

You will have science and/or engineering qualifications and ideally have environment health and safety capabilities. You will have gained consulting industry experience and you may have previous experience in industrial and commercial companies.

**CORE RESPONSIBILITIES**

BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT
- Contributes technical and business content and assists in managing proposal preparation or independently manages proposal preparation.
- Participates actively in client discussions.
- Develops projects with existing clients to tailor solutions to meet their needs.
- Develops new clients independently.
- Builds upon existing relationships with clients in the wider group.

TECHNICAL LEADERSHIP
- Designs and executes complete projects of moderate to substantial size and complexity.
- Conducts independent technical analyses and directs technical analyses of others.
- In-depth experience in developing innovative approaches to solving complex project problems.
- Conducts scoping, supervising and assigning of fieldwork.
- Supervises or conducts computer modeling or inventory development of modeling or other tools.
- Conducts independent site visits of complex facilities where you can use your technical and experience and communication skills.
- Fulfill a lead auditor role and conduct technical reviews.

PROJECT/PEOPLE MANAGEMENT
- Manages complex projects, of moderate to substantial size; supervises and delegates as necessary.
- Leverages time effectively.
- Assists in development and management of project budgets.
- Assumes increasing role in management of practice area.
- May serve as team leader.
- Participates in performance evaluations and recruiting using your experience.
- Trains and is responsible for instructing less experienced staff in both technical topics and standards of practice.

CLIENT SERVICES
- Prepares documentation of technical analyses and research.
- Independently prepares final work products, reviews work products of others.
- May assist in preparation of papers and their presentation at technical meetings; may prepare and present papers independently.
- Produces draft and/or final versions of client communications.
- Plays significant role in client contacts (e.g., making presentations as client meetings; frequently leads client discussions).
- Participates in seminar presentations to staff or at technical conferences; occasionally participates in seminars and workshops for professional organizations.
- Demonstrates ability to present complex technical concepts effectively both orally and in writing so clients, regulatory agencies and legal groups can easily comprehend them.

**Qualifications**:
**MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS**

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering discipline (civil, environmental, chemical) or relevant science discipline (environmental science, geology, chemistry, physics, toxicology or biology) and may hold post graduate qualifications.

Experience of 8+ years in environmental, health and safety field or consulting would be advantageous.

Professional certification in your expertise (such as Lead Auditor Exemplar Global) or professional certification of other disciplines.
