The National Film and Sound Archive of Australia (NFSA) is Australia’s audiovisual cultural institution. The NFSA collection includes over 4 million items including films, television and radio programs, videos, audio recordings and video games. Public programs and services ensure that the collection is available for enjoyment, learning, research and for re-use by creators. **About the People and Culture Team**
The People and Culture team plays an important operational and strategic role by partnering with leaders across the Agency to achieve the goal of becoming Australia’s most dynamic and valued cultural organisation.
The team consists of 1 x EL2, 2 x EL1, 2 x APS 6 and an APS4 staff members and delivers all elements of human resources to the NFSA including, but not limited to, payroll, learning and development, WHS, wellbeing, recruitment, performance management and HR reporting.

**Flexible work arrangements available: Part-time or Full-time. Ongoing or Non-ongoing**

We are seeking an experienced HR specialist to support the NFSA by overseeing technical projects, payroll, reporting and to provide high level advice to leaders across the Agency. The role requires someone with excellent coordination skills, experience across technical HR functions and must have strong communication skills.

**Job Details**
Under general direction undertake the following duties:
Working closely with the Senior Manager, People and Culture and under broad direction, oversee the functions:

- Mandatory APS and internal reporting.
- Payroll management
- Metrics and data analysis
- Performance management
- Terms and Conditions of employment advice
- Projects such as Enterprise bargaining, procurement, and general HR projects
- Policy development and management

**Selection Criteria**
In relation to the ‘Job Details’ listed above, concisely demonstrate your skills, experience and achievements against each of the following areas:

- Have a broad understanding of technical APS human resource management.
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with various staff teams and internal and external stakeholders.
- Proven ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously, prioritise activities and see projects through to completion whilst managing client expectations.
- Be highly organised with excellent communications skills
- Strong project management skills
- Collaborative team player with a positive outlook.

**Desired Skills and Experience**:
Qualifications and/or equivalent experience required:

- Strong technical experience in APS human resources
- Experience in Payroll or the Aurion software
- APS and internal reporting experience

**Eligibility**
To be eligible for this position you must:

- Be an Australian Citizen.
- Satisfactorily complete an Australian Federal Police National Police Check; and
- Obtain and maintain an Australian Government Baseline Security Clearance.
