**About the opportunity**

We are looking for flexible staff to join our committed Community Support Team, providing support across Southern Sydney and South West Sydney suburbs.

**_ This is a mobile role where you will be working a minimum of 20 hours/ fortnight on a fixed roster. Paying $30.45 (base) hourly rate + travel reimbursement

Working with participants on the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), The role of a Life Skills Supporter is responsible for assisting people with various disabilities including, complex mental health needs to identify and achieve their goals, connecting and accessing the community, maximising their independence and the ability to make choices about things that matter to them.

**About You**
- **Full NSW Drivers licence with fully insured vehicle**:

- Ability to connect and communicate with people living with disability
- Certificate III or IV in Disability, or equivalent (**_desirable but not essential)_**:

- Clear and effective communication skills and ability to establish a professional relationship with participant and their families
- Demonstrated understanding of person-centred care
- Experience supporting participants from Aboriginal and Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) backgrounds would be advantageous
- Current paid Working with Children Check
- NDIS Workers Check and NDIS Worker Orientation Module Worker Orientation Module | NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission (ndiscommission.gov.au)
- Current First Aid Certificate
- **Available to work a short Saturday shift fortnightly
