An exciting opportunity exists for a motivated and experienced Purchasing Officer to join our Head Office team. You will manage many aspects of purchasing to efficiently and cost-effectively support the organisation’s Aged Care operations. You will be responsible for sourcing and evaluating suppliers, negotiating contracts, reviewing product quality and procuring goods and services._

**Responsibilities**:

- _Identify and source new suppliers and vendors._
- _Manage vendor and supplier selection process based on price, quality, support, capacity and reliability _
- _Plan, manage, and coordinate all activities related to the sourcing and procurement of supplies needed to meet the business needs._
- _Develop and maintain strategic relationships with key suppliers and vendors._
- _Communicate effectively and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to achieve business outcomes_
- _Maintain a procurement database, ensuring that records are complete and current._
- _Provide communication of inventory related topics to internal teams._
- _Develop, negotiate and administer purchasing agreements and contracts with suppliers in support of organisational requirements._
- _Manage risk relating to quality, cost, delivery and supply of purchases._
- _Provide support and reporting requirements to Group Operations Manager and Home Managers relating to procurement activities_

**Key Requirements**:

- Previous experience gained in a procurement role for Aged Care is essential._
- _Ability to write reports and record keeping of purchasing activity_
- _Proficient in computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook)_
- _Knowledge of Financial systems and processes_
- _Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with key stakeholders_
- _Qualifications in Business Administration or a Business-related discipline_
- _Highly organised with effective time management skills, analytical skills and attention to detail_
- _Knowledge of all laws and regulations relating to procurement and contracts or a willingness to acquire_
- _Current Police Check and Influenza and COVID-19 Vaccination, or willingness to obtain_
- _Valid Working Rights_
