**Your Opportunity**

Kingston House Program will provide safe, stable medium to longer-term accommodation in a nurturing home-like environment for children and young people between 12 and 15, experiencing or at risk of homelessness. The service will have a primarily focus on family restoration, working with children, young people, and their families to resolve family conflicts, improve connections, relationships and the broader wellbeing and care needs of the child or young person. Services will be trauma-informed, child-safe, child-centred, flexible, therapeutic, and collaborative and will use a ‘Care Team’ approach.

The House Manager will lead the Kingston House team to provide support activities, that contributes to the outcomes of the Therapeutic Model of Residential Care and ensures consistency in service delivery within the values of Mission Australia.

**Your Key Responsibilities**
- Work collaboratively with Residential Youth Workers to provide advice to address complex cases or emergency situations.
- Assist clients through brief therapeutic intervention and referral to suitable services.
- Take the lead in convening case conferences with key stakeholders as required to minimise service duplication and create best outcomes.
- Create and maintain internal and external client related paperwork including individualised electronic case management files in line with Mission Australia protocols.
- Prepare and manage staffing roster.
- Support the Program Manager to plan and manage the program budget.
- Develop strong internal relationships with clients and other staff to contribute to the effective functioning of the service and improved outcomes.
- Develop strong partnerships and relationships with key external stakeholders including other service providers and networks.
- Conduct regular case-reviews, supervise staff ensuring effective case-plans, monitor case management and outcomes.
- Contribute to staff performance discussions including setting priorities, outcomes, planning and organising work and monitoring workflows.

**Requirements for Success**

With a significant background in the_ child, youth & family and/or Human Services _sectors, you will be confident in your team management, people-based leadership skills, and ability to proactively lead a multidisciplinary team. Other requirements include:

- Minimum Diploma qualification in allied health, social work, human services or equivalent
- At least 2 years' experience in residential accommodation facilities, youth work, community services or equivalent.
- Demonstrated experience leading teams, developing a positive team culture and effective people management.
- Experience in provision of strengths based/goal-based planning, person-centred and information and referral services.
- Professional approach to the role including maintaining professional boundaries.
- A positive and person-centred approach with a strong guiding belief about everyone’s capacity to self-right and grow within and beyond their current circumstances.
- Strong understanding of compliance requirements such as quality audits, continuous improvement, planning and facilitation.
- Action oriented and accountable to achieve results in line with set timeframes.
- Demonstrated experience working and collaborating effectively with others, ensuring key stakeholders are involved, sharing information, and ensuring people are kept informed of progress, changes, and issues.
- Ability to deal with ambiguity and complexity.
- Demonstrated strong leadership skills with effective change management capabilities.
- Full driver licence with no restrictions
