The Deputy Secretary Corporate Services has strategic, operational, and improvement responsibilities.
The role leads and directs the efficient and effective delivery of high-quality corporate service functions to meet the needs of internal and external stakeholders. The role will initiate, lead, and drive a renewed focus on business processes and process improvement, particularly as it relates to transactional corporate services, to improve efficiency and customer service.
The role is also strategic in nature, encompassing thought leadership and best practice to guide and support the department's purposeful capacity and capability building, workforce culture, and enhanced performance in a dynamic environment.
Executive Board member accountabilities
As a member of the department's Executive Board key accountabilities include:
- Setting the strategic direction of the organisation.
- Driving performance across the department.
- Making investment decisions consistent with departmental strategic directions and priorities.
- Leading and fostering an appropriate organisational culture consistent with the department's purpose and strategies.
